Dear Bernice, I just learned of Bill's sad passing and convey my condolences to you at such an unhappy time in your life. Very best wishes to you, David Ettridge.

Boy, over a month has gone by since you decided to pack your bags and head home. Bill life is certainly a lot poorer since you left this earth. Miss our talks, your sage advice and stories from the past. All I can say is in the years that we knew you, the stories never repeated, which tells me you lived a rich and full life. And Helen and I were the richer for knowing you and Bernice. So, me ol' china, hoping to catch up with you one day and have another chin wag over a nice glass of medicinal wine (of course).

Our beautiful blue eyed Billy boy ( Uncle Billy) It felt like I had lost my dad all over again . Billy you have been like a dad to all us girls . I am grateful that my kids got to spend so much time with you and Benny over lots of holiday trips. The kids loved coming up to stay with Billy and Benny, we will treasure all the wonderful happy memories of the kids on the radio with Billy , the Swan Hill show and races with Bill and Benny. The themed restaurant dinner nights we would do and talent shows, even the neighbours wanted an invite! Oh my goodness . Billy was the best Simon Cowell judge - honest but fair, honestly I think there were heaps of 10s given though. The love that the kids and I received from Billy and Benny when we stayed was unconditional. My kids adored Billy and couldn’t wait to go to Swan Hill and hang out with Gypsy and Maxi as well. We will continue our themed restaurant nights in honour of our Billy. We love you so much Billy, thank you for loving Benny and us kids so much and making our holidays so special together . We will continue to stay with Benny and keep your beautiful memories alive with her. We love you and will miss you so very much Billy. Love Vettie, Craig and the kids.

So very sad to say goodbye Billy, but the memory of you will never fade. The laughter, cheeky banter, wise cracks & profound wisdom you shared with us all over the years is eternally treasured. So many lovely memories of the old Pinecrest Drive days to the fun loving Peppermint House days...always an open door, good yarn & glass of wine to be had. Thank you for loving our dear Aunt Benny with such deep devotion, may you now rest peacefully In God's hands. Love Jules, Gav, Lachie & Alice (Val) Xxx

Dear Bill, I shall remember you with such fondness, I remember the first time I met you. That day and all the days since, you have always embraced me with such kindness, and warmth. I will remember your great sense of humour & the encouragement you gave me when I needed it most during my year 12 studies, and your positive and affirming nature. Thankyou for loving Benny so beautifully. My heart goes out to Benny & Aaron, Toni-Marie, Tiffany and their families. Rest In Peace Bill. Our prayers and thoughts are with you, Benny & the family. Very sad to see you go Billie but you were very weary and well deserve the peace you now have. It was a rare and valued privilege to have you as my big brother - you stood up for your beliefs, you were loyal, kind and committed, and your sense of humour made sometimes difficult issues bearable. You will be sorely missed - rest easy old mate!
