Tributes

Les, so sorry to hear you have left us. You were my first "boss" at Council and have to say you were quite a character. I fondly remember if someone was having a "difference of opinion" with you - if you took your glasses off before you spoke, the "someone" had better start running, because you knew what you were talking about. The best times at Council were in the Town Hall - for about 8 years. I also enjoyed stories of you playing the bagpipes - at inappropriate times. I am sure you will be missed very much. Condolences to family and friends. Brenda (Bowen)

Les, you will be missed by those close to you. You were always a fair and fun loving executive. I had the greatest affection for you. Rest in peace. Fay Taylor

Les you were a much loved person throughout my entire life. I have many memories of growing up with you and our trips to Lake Boga, Ollie’s Trolleys, and watching Gilbert and Sullivan. I think Simon and I were the only kids in primary school that knew the words to Behold the Lord High Executioner. You had a unique character and a generous heart. We will miss you xx

Erin

I have fond memories of Les both at Council and. At home. Les was a wonderful neighbour to my parents when they all lived in a group of units. Les kept an eye on them and he was the Gardener and the ladies provided the morning teas. Les grew the most amazing camellias. Mum and Dad loved his practising of the bagpipes. Fond memories.. Rest in Peace Les.
